I have had many requests for the simplified LDS primary songs that were on my layton.com website. Unfortunately, that site is down, and I have not yet been able to get it back up and working again. Until then, I’ll post them here.
There is a file for 15 off-staff primary songs, and another for 68 on-the-staff songs. I added some coloring pages so they can be printed front to back without any page turns. Some time ago I also made up a couple of covers. One mimics the actual primary songbook cover, but uses more ink. The other is more ink friendly.

I have several students that started with your songs that now play the simplified versions from The Friend magazine. I’m so glad you posted new links because I have several new students that are getting their first Primary songs today. They are going to love playing songs they know and their parents are so happy too!
Thank you so much for these simple arrangements of the Primary songs. My granddaughter, who had only had piano lessons for a month, was able to play and sing two of the selections at her own baptism. She plays from your “book” constantly and has been the best tool in teaching her notes and sight reading. I can’t thank you enough!

Out of curiosity, could you possibly post the versions with finger numbers instead of letters for the off staff songs? Hope all is well with you and yours!
Actually, the files with the finger numbers were on a very old computer. I don’t know that I have them anymore, but I’ll look and see.

I appreciate your sharing the simplified Primary hymns. I share them with my children learning to play! They know the Melodie’s and so feel ‘empowered’ being able to play them more easily while learning fingerings. Thank you again for freely sharing your talents and knowledge of transposing music!
